Foundation House

Bc. Matěj Šépka

Annotation

The aim was to separate the new building as much as possible from the surrounding very valuable functionalist buildings. For these purposes, the almost untouched surrounding flora served, among which the foundation house tries to fit as best as possible, especially with its organic form and admitted wooden supporting structure. The regular hexagons, which became a module for the building, with sharp corners of rectangular rooms, into which hygienic facilities are inserted, create small nooks where the surrounding greenery can grow and thus slowly become part of the building. The unit is displayed on hexagonal pillars resembling the trunks of the surrounding trees. Among other things, the foundation house has two covered terraces, which offer a view of the center of Prague.
