CANDLESTICK LUCIA

The aim of my project was to create a candlestick for a tea candle and a tall table candle. I was inspired by the traditional feast Lucia in Sweden, which celebrates coming of the light. I have designed a candlestick that can be used all year round both as a home decor item and to celebrate Lucia. The candlestick consists of two parts. I have chosen to make the bottom part holding the tea candle out of walnut wood. The second part is made from spun brass and allows for a tall table candle to be inserted from either side. Both parts fit together and can create a compact unit. They also work well placed next to each other or completely separated. “Stiger med tända ljus, Sankta Lucia!”
