Reading place in Stromovka park

The output from our atelier was to come up with an idea for a small building, that would complete the missing function, in city park we chose. I decided to work with a Stromovka park on Prague 7. It is a very harmonizing place, ideal space for reading books. However many people do not take books with them, when they go for a walk, so I decided to design a reading place, where people would be able to borrow any books, and read them immediately on the place. Composition of the building is given by unusual shape - star. Reading place is divided in four parts, three of the parts are reserved for roofed seating places, and inside the fourth there are shelves with books. The supporting structure of the building is made of CLT panels. Thanks to CLT panels object also has a modern feel.
