A house for a large-scale artist

To offer privacy and great visual connection of interior and exterior, create two parts that are separate, yet still work well together - those were my goals creating this project. The formation of the house is elementary - two blocks (studio and residential area) penetrating each other, adjusted by cutouts with regard to outlooks and light. As a whole it creates simple, ballanced, well functioning structure. The ground floor is made of residencial spaces, the second floor gives more privacy and its two terraces offer astonishing views over the surroundings. Spacious studio, opened to north and landscape is designed to allow for large format canvases. Ergonomicaly placed gallery alongside the north glazing is a place to get fresh view, much needed to successfuly complete ones painting.
