The house for Richard Avedon

The task was to make a house project for an artistic personality. I chose the American photographer Richard Avedon. He was considered a recognized master of portrait photography in black and white style. I chose an island on the Vltava River as the place for his house. The flow of the river at this point emphasizes the dynamics of the building. The project emphasizes the shape of the building and is supported by the simplicity of facades and interiors. It is more comfortable for a person connected with art to have separate rest zones from the work space (Atelier). The project is therefore divided into two houses connected by an inner courtyard and a roof for a comfortable transition. The shape of the house underlines the personality of its owner and the uniqueness of the painting.
