House for the sculptor

Emiliia Konenko

Annotation

The main concept is a family house for a sculptor and his family, located on the functionalist construction of the Baba Settlement in Prague 6. The house is big, minimalistic and thanks to the glass facade transmits a lot of light. It also contains three floors, each with its own function. The lower and middle floors are for the family only. On the first floor are bedrooms, bathrooms and a greenhouse with access from the stairs. All living rooms are oriented to the south. The second floor also has a residential function and serves as a link between the two floors. The third floor is designed for work and the public. The main room is a gallery facing south and a studio facing north. In this way, the house is precisely zoned, which helps the comfortable life of the family.
