Vallogalleria

Annotation

Vallogalleria (Finnish "gallery of light") are two separate buildings located at the edge of one of Finland's great lakes. This gallery, designed in a structural plan, plays with the idea of "exhibiting" natural light and the natural scenery itself. The first building consists of a café, followed by a night observatory situated directly to the north to provide the best view of the aurora borealis. The second (daily) observatory is situated to the southwest towards the lake and thus offers a beautiful view, which is constantly changing throughout the day. This building can also be used as a shelter for sleeping, so in addition, it is equipped with showers and storage space.
