HOUSE FOR MY LIBRARY

My library is located in Iceland, as this island enchanted me with its wild and untamed nature. My design is accompanied by a whale symbol. According to Icelandic legends, these creatures are floating libraries and very important to the island. Iceland is a country full of contrasts. Therefore, my goal was to create a library with contrasting materials (glass, wood) and with two separate parts (private and public). Both floors offer a charming view of the sea. They are connected by bookshelves and by spiral staircase hidden in the rock from which the building protrudes. The private part is located on the first floor. The floor consists of a two-pointed whale tail, which partially protrudes from the building. The second floor is an ideal place to spend time with your friends and books.
