Verical movement

Kateřina Juricová

Annotation

The Prague island of Štvanice is a place full of movement. Cars, buses and trams cross the Vltava across the Hlávkův Bridge. Trains run through Negrelli viaduct. In the water waves a small ferry, canoes and kayaks. Dogs and people are running side by side, in the skate park young and old ride a skateboard. And a tennis ball is bounced rhythmically from one side of the court to the other. And at the same time, huge masses of water are rolling from both sides of the island. The Štvanice pavilion adds one more to the above-mentioned movements. This time, however, vertical. Visitors can climb the large staircase to the very top of the pavilion and watch the vertical sunrise. Even inside the pavilion itself, it is possible to encounter vertical movement. Judge for yourself.
