The Valley of Freedom

The Valley of Freedom - the freedom of the mind unbound by the dread of the past. This is what gave birth to a bench in the town of Kapišová. It can be considered a prologue to a nearby memorial, The Death Valley. It depicts a path where one can think, relax, witness the beauty of the surrounding nature, a path where one lets go of everyday life and allows thoughts to flow. The magic of the saunter begs questions such as "Why?", "What for?". One could think of it as a regular bench. Its shape is random, but it's the length that matters. It's the distance and the discovery of purpose that dictates the flow of thoughts from positive to more negative and prepares one for the last stop. Ultimately, it provides a reflection of being and what had to be sacrificed for one to walk on this bench.
