POROUS CITY

Annotation

In my project, I am transforming the building of the former Bauhaus hobby market into a multifunctional space combining the function of asylum and social housing, services and public space. Where the mainthe idea is openness, interconnectedness and continuity with the surrounding greenery. Smaller apartment buildings occupy the function of asylum and social housing here. The service function is a food / service market. The function of the public space is performed by a small square with greenery, a fountain and habitable stairs. The whole then forms a small interconnected town, which is open in all directions and intertwines in it all the mentioned functions, but at the same time it divides the used space into public, semi-public and private.
