House for Richard Serra

Samuel Puškár

Annotation

To design a family house with a studio, I chose the American representative of minimalism and land art, sculptor Richard Serra. His work is often associated with large steel formations, mostly located in the country, which form an organic and not exactly defined area. The visitor has the opportunity to discover new nooks and paths in the space he creates. My concept of the design is based on the words movement, curiosity, harmony and aims to guide a person across the land, where he will discover all the scenes, nooks or views. Through a series of stairs and terraces set in the terrain, I tried to harmoniously connect the two main objects, while this path is imaginarily winding, which should arouse in the visitor a certain curiosity about what awaits behind the corner.
