Yachtsman cabins

Annotation

Dam. Boats. Swimming. Pines. Good company. Evening campfires. Adventure. Rest. For a couple, a family, a group of friends. A cluster of four „cabins“ for yachtsmen on the shore of the Slapy dam. It references the typical cabin standing on a heavy plinth with a wooden facade and a gable roof. Each cabin contains its own bathroom and a kitchen with a dining table. In the bigger cabins, the plinth grows and absorbs this part of the building leaving only the sleeping floors wooden, masking the actual size. Everything a yachtsman on a holiday could wish for is around – a parking lot, a campfire perfectly sat amid a bunch of trees, terraces for early breakfasts and evening chats, plenty of space for sunbathing and badminton and of course a shore from which a pier juts out onto the dam.
