HOUSE WITH STUDIO FOR DONALD JUDD

"The house is not just for living and a studio just for work. These spaces themselves are part of my work and must be connected." The house with a studio is designed for minimalist sculptor Donald Judd. The use of terrain and the incorporation of large areas were elements of the concept. The individual parts of the design, i.e. the living space, the private part - the bedroom, and the studio, are laid out on the plot so as to replicate the slope of the terrain. The studio is located further away from communication, so that Judd creates in private and at the same time is illuminated with window. As opposed to precisely these cubic shapes, the house acts lightly and freely. Glass surfaces in the living room ensure the necessary supply of daylight to the interior.
