RESIDENCE FOR ARTISTS

The residence for artists is placed on Baba, a first-time functionalist development designed by Pavel Janák in 1912. My residence is divided into a private and public part, which is spread out on the grounds so that they just adhere to the layout of the villas on Baba. These two parts are connected by a corridor which, also divides the land into a private and public part. The private part of the residence is the one located more to the north with two apartments for artists. In the southerly part there are studios attached to them, which can be used at the same time, as exhibition spaces. Communication between them is a glass corridor that connects these parts of the residence, at the same time illuminating the interior with natural light and is also connecting the inside with outside.
