The Elsa

The Elsa apartment building is designed for the courtyard in Letná as an extension to the existing hall. The house responds to the surrounding buildings and the shape of the courtyard. The resulting irregular shape of the whole is inscribed in the layout and in the sub-elements of the building. The residential building is conceived as a compact six-storey building with one common core and staircase. It consists of 15 2+kk flats, each with a 12 m2 balcony, and 1 3+kk flat, which forms the last floor. All apartments are oriented south and west towards the far end of the courtyard.
