RESIDENCE FOR ARTISTS | BABA

The design of the residence for artists is set in a functionalist development in the Baba settlement in Prague Dejvice. I designed the residence for sculptors and artistic carvers. The studio PRÁM became a great inspiration for me when I was creating the design. The design concept is to create an inspiring environment that would allow the connection between the various parts of the building and at the same time the separation of public and private space. This created a space used as a gallery, but also as a connecting and common space for artists, where they can spend their free time. The chessboard arrangement of the individual parts of the entire building created private and semi-private atriums.
