Gallery for Pavel Koutský

The gallery is designated to present the art work of the czech animator and artist Pavel Koutský. It is situated in a park in the city center. The exhibition in the gallery is divided into two main parts: the spaces for movie projection and main gallery spaces with an exhibition of images and sketches from the process of animated filmcreation. The main idea was to have long surfaces on which it would be simple to display images next to each other, as they are creating movement. Thanks to the displacement and rotation of the upper block, the load-bearing wall is projected into the floor plan, creating spaces for the background as well as an outdoor courtyard that prevents the southern sun from penetrating the building and at the same time forms an entrance way.
