Labyrinth in Náchod

The building is located on the edge of the historic city center on the popular route from the train station to the center. The building has three levels. The interior of the labyrinth is designed as a public space, which should attract attention with its monumentality, the height of the ceiling and the play of lights. The geometry of the labyrinth floor plan was created by combining tessellation with the pattern of textile fabric, which in the past played an important role in the development of the city. The use of this geometry resulted in an interesting narrowing and widening of the individual corridors of the labyrinth, which shapes spaces intended for passage and spaces intended for passage and spaces intended for stay and relaxation.
