Annotation

The exhibition pavilion consists of a raised area, a crystal - a tall display case - and a staircase wrapping around the cylindrical envelope of the original spiral staircase in the atrium. The glass block is where the exhibited objects-mechanical watches-will be placed and showcased. The exhibition space is inspired by the watchmaker's work and the goal was to achieve symbiosis with the shape of the atrium and the overall plan of our building. The glass block is in symmetry with the exterior obelisk, which is one of the few responses to the building's floor plan. The building is constructed of reinforced concrete, metal grid and glass. The aim of the design was not to restrict movement, but to initiate it between floors and galleries.
