Karel Malich Gallery

Karel Malich devoted to drawings, graphics, collages, and wire sculptures, in whose line and point become carriers of energetic values. The gallery is located in his hometown - Holice. Not only was Malich very closely tied to this place, but he sought inspiration for his works in the surrounding landscape. He benefited from researching the boundary that make strong connection between inside and outside, but also between closed form and space. That is why the gallery is designed by these principles. The main concept is the slanted roof, which draws attention to the placement of the staircase. In the underground part, there is an exhibition space into which the light is guided by ceiling skylights. On the first above-ground floor, we can find a cafe with a view of the landscape.
