PAVILION ŠTVANICE | ISLAND

A pavilion that deceives with the body. It is conceived as an isolated element in the middle of a quieter part of the city. At first glance, the uniform, stoic cube with an inconspicuous, yet distinctive entrance, draws one into the present moment and cuts one off from reality. The pavilion works as a story with catharsis. It puts one in the role of a survivor who must complete a journey. The initial anxious feeling after stepping into the space is contrasted with a spacious inner disposition, in which one has to walk up the path to get back in touch with the world.
