My intention was to create a chess set with minimalist pieces, but at the same time preserving the distinctive features of a classic Staunton set. The chessboard also functions as a storage space for all 32 pieces. However, I didn't want to stick with a conventional mechanism, so I decided to devise a custom folding method that halves the volume of the box. At the same time, the box has a very satisfying effect when opened.
