Vyšehrad - a change of perspective

The effect of light, the use of space, a new view, those are the main principles of this project. The location is on the very walls of Vyšehrad, which divide the view of Podolí on one side and Prague Castle with views of the Church of St. Peter and Paul on the other. The result is a connection of these views, which is controlled by the increasing light. After passing through the entrance corridor, one finds oneself in the main room, which is illuminated by a mere skylight and the movement of the sun builds various creations. The unroofed staircase brings in more light and it guides you to a terrace with a well-deserved view. However, the main view of the Castle accompanies the visitor all the way down - first as they walk along the wall and then down the long ramp that ends the journey.
