ACTIVATOR

A tall red cylinder with a buffet inside, wide wooden seating steps, green flowering bushes and red benches. This is how the "non-place" in Holešovice at the metro line C exit turned into a place. Until then, just a tall brutalist column and cold granite cladding on the facade, an unused grassy area and concrete blocks for seating. Passers-by in a hurry had no reason to stop, and the busy, noisy road didn't add much to it either. The goal is to activate and slow down the place. The activator should evoke a pleasant feeling for sitting and spending free time, or while waiting for a train, metro or bus.
