Wall house For A Book Thief / Silence

For the theme of my project i chose the book "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak, in which the main character is growing up in a small fictional city near Munich during Second world war. Wall House For A Book Thief serves as a home to the main character with a living space on the ground floor, terace on the first and a library on the second floor. The building "Silence" connects two of the important themes within the book, death and word. To represent these themes I chose a columbarium(first floor) and a library(underground). The two spaces are connected by a shared entrance and a skylight which also serves as a source of light.
