LIGHTHOUSE

The Lighthouse stands on the tip of Veslařský island and is surrounded by the river Vltava. The twenty-meter tall tower resembles a lighthouse not only with its height but mainly through its form. With its distinctive appearance, it draws attention to not only itself but also to the issue of public opinion regarding the relationship between pigeons and humans. The concrete structure looks solid and stable and therefore creates a temple-like refuge for pigeons. Just as a lighthouse navigates ships, the dovecote guides pigeons to safety.
