INTERPRETATION

The town's dovecote stands on the Jiřího z Poděbrad square. On the facade and structure of the building itself, there is an apparent influence of the Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord by the architect Jože Plečnik, which is located only tens of meters away from the Dovecote. On the construction site, we can observe the interpretation of Plečnik in numerous windows in rows, floor plan, textured facade and in the gable roof with a moderate slope. The roof is paneled with roosts, from which the pigeons have a view of the entire Square and most importantly: the church. The buildings complement each other as if they were in dialogue.
