MASIVA

The dovecote Masiva is located on Peony meadow in Prague's Troja. The botanical garden, which is close to the Zoo and a busy road near the surrounding housing estates, is visited daily by masses of people and countless pigeons. It is a great opportunity for education and a confrontation between people and pigeons. Peonies are very delicate plants, so the concrete construction of sharp geometric shapes contrasts with them. The exposed concrete is lightened and softened by the larch wood construction at the top of the building. Due to the minimum number of holes in the interior, the pigeon house is dark, which creates a pleasant and safe place for pigeons to live.
