The assignment for this year's studio work was to design a project that would revitalize the property near the Nádraží Holešovice metro station. My goal was to design a place where people would like to spend time. I wanted to build on the existing metro building without interfering with it. The main point of my design is the colonnade connected to the café, which is located by the wall on the south side of the site. These objects also create a bounded space that houses a podium connected to a column that is part of the station building. The column in my proposal serves as a projection area for any concerts or other cultural events. I wanted the building to be used both for relaxation and leisure. The design of my building combines two primary materials - concrete and wood.
