When choosing my craftshop, I immediately opt to 'become' a cello maker. I play the cello and I also own one. It is hard to find a good quality one. Also, there is only one maker in Czechia specialized only in cellos. His work is amazing, but he has much more buyers than he can manage. In Náchod, I wanted to spread the craft and give it a proper space, proper equipment. A quiet space, soft and monumental like a cello. Curved walls and floors are conected with stairs embodying the cello's 'duše'.
(Duše, soul in english, is a piece of wood connecting top and bottom wooden part. It is one of the last pieces to add, when the cello is being finished. Without it, cello cant make a proper sound.)
