Nook and Cranny

The design of the multi-generational house 'Zákoutí' was strongly influenced by our first visit of Liboc. For us the Libóza garden as well as its community have become one of the key figures in the area. Our intention was to create an object that works in symbiosis with Libóza while communicating with the surrounding buildings and infrastructure. The idiom 'nook and cranny' which we attributed to our project expresses a picturesque secluded place that evokes feelings of security and inner peace. A calm energy radiates from every ounce of the parcel which is something we stayed true to during the process of designing Zákoutí. We focused on inter-connecting multiple generations and different social groups enabling many diverse people to create a functional and pleasant community for all.
