BABart: START-UP ACCOMMODATION FOR ARTISTS, ATELIERS AND EXHIBITION GALLERIES WITH CAFE
Annotation
A modern cafe with a gallery and apartments on Baba in Prague combines aesthetics, functionality and a wonderful view. It is located on a slope and is divided into three separate buildings: two apartment units, two studios and a gallery with a cafe.
The building is intended as an energetically passive building, including vegetative roofs, gardens and meadows to preserve local biodiversity. Each of the two artists has his own studio, the smaller one is for painters or graphic artists and the larger one belongs to sculptors. In the larger studio there is a spacious gallery, which is adjacent to the cafe.
The facade of the building is elegant and transparent, allowing plenty of daylight to pass through and providing a beautiful view.
