THE GATE TO TICHÉ ÚDOLÍ

The surroundings of the parcel at hand are of very contrasting qualities, which influences the concept greatly. Tiché údolí (Quiet valley) has for generations served as a quiet hideaway for the people of Prague. The original villa "Maxmiliánka" along with the adjacent restaurant and public bath was sort of a gate to the valley, as this is where the last development meets the first actual greenery. My design keeps this purpose. It would be a shame, not to utilize such a strong genius loci.
