Temporary living on the corner

The house is located in Nádražní Street in Smichov. In this part, the blocks are shaped differently from the old plots and roads. This has created "irregular" blocks. My goal was to connect to one of the empty facades and so visually end the block. The plan dimensions are based on the two existing houses to form the corner of the imaginary block. Because of the small footprint, the staircase is pre-set and covered by a structure dominated by horizontal lines, which then frame the entire house. It is a wooden building made of CLT panels. The whole concept is based on a community area and three living units - for three young women with children up to 3 years old. The community room serves as a playroom for the children, a place to hold small events and workshops, and offers space to work.
