To jump over the creek

Annotation

The assignment for the summer semester was the stopping of St. John. This topic could have been handled in several ways, but I found it most appropriate to point out the journey of St. John himself. I worked with the local creek Loděnice (called Kačák by the inhabitants). The water in this stream has been flowing for hundreds of years and probably flowed here when the hermit Ivan lived here, after whom the cave in which he lived was later named. A significant place for him was the high ground under the rock where, according to legend, St John the Baptist appeared to him to tell him that he was in the right place on his pilgrimage to God. The Chapel of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross was later built on this spot. I decided to work with this chapel and make a path around it.
