House of Albrecht Durer

The shape of the house for the German Renaissance generalist Albrecht Dürer is based on the typology of traditional German houses in a modern treatment. The materials used on the façade of the house represent Dürer's work with the creation of mezzotints and woodcarving. On the ground floor of the house there is a spacious studio, suitable for Dürer's wide-ranging artistic creations, with the opportunity for an apprentice to study with the master. The copper façade of the residential part of the house is covered with motifs of Dürer's work.
