UPSILON

Our semester assignment was to design an intergenerational housing in which its inhabitants would be happy to live. The design is for students and seniors, two seemingly different groups of people. We were keen to prove that this need not be the case, and that they have more in common than it seems. What one lacks, the other can offer. And it is on mutual help, overcoming barriers and sharing that our proposal is based. In the façade of the break, behind it its straightening. Between the volumes, the height difference, within, its overcoming. The result, we hope, is humble towards the tenants and its surroundings.
