Residency for artists

My concept was to connect the landscape, the pond and the land we were designing on. One direction dominates the whole project, namely an imaginary diagonal from the direction of the path to the rock on the other side of the stream. The whole complex is buried under the terrain, from which skylights look out to the gallery, studios, and apartments. The rear is dominated by a towering atrium that is accessible to the residents of the residence. Visitors can walk across the gallery roof to the other lot, or walk through the gallery to enjoy artwork by artists who live in the residence.
