House for Jan Kaláb

I designed the house for the artist Jan Kalab. Jan Kaláb is a Czech visual artist whose art presents abstract designs of organic shapes in various formats. My goal was to transfer the way of his creation to my design, the building should resemble the appearance of his creation, that is why the house has such an organic shape. The underground is intended for his work, like his studio, which is thus purposefully separated from his above-ground part, which serves as a living space. Floor plans indicate the separation of family and work life. The columns that pass through the entire house from the underground floor to the above-ground living area are also intended as a strong point of the building, from certain angles it should be seen purposefully as it passes through the entire building.
