CLOUD'S OF ŠTVANICE: MONET'S INSPIRATION

Eva Šonská

Annotation

For my project, I chose an artist with French roots, Claude Monet, the founder of Impressionism. One of the subjects of the authors of this direction is the play of light and shadow. Therefore I chose an atrium-type house, which is almost surrounded by glass walls, ensuring light penetration into the interior, supplemented by steel trusses. The house itself is then accessible through two entrances - the public one, behind which there are spaces intended for visitors, of which I would highlight the exhibition space, where they can admire the works of the owner of the building, and the private one, behind which there is Claude Monet's suite complete with a spiral staircase that opens into the sunlit the studio, which is located one floor above.
