Jackson Pollock's House

Nicolas Pražma

Annotation

Jackson Pollock was a prominent American-born painter who was very controversial, and this is written into the design of the house. Elements of his work and personality can be seen in the very dominant and intricate façade of recycled windows or in the sculpted second floor, which aims to evoke a sense of uncertainty and a certain curiosity in the observer. The building consists of two parts, one larger block containing the studio space and a second block set into it, which divides the space inside and offers living spaces.
