Hruki Murakami House

The house for Murakami is located on the northern slope of Petřiny. The aim was to create a cozy and inspiring place where the author could continue in his works. Structurally, it is composed of square-plan modules of massive columns with an axial distance of 3.7 meters. A total of eight levels hierarchically divide the space and go from the highest-private height to the lowest-public height, designed for group debates or public events. Another principle of the house is the zenith lighting that connect the interior with the exterior and also give the place a poetic meaning. The house offers a lot of diverse space suitable for inspiration, which is for Murakami very important.
