House for Penelope

The building consists of three parts, two of which are underground and few of which can be seen above the surface. The dominant feature of the whole building is the middle section, which essentially acts as an imaginary axe that cuts into the cliff, creating a fissure in it through which the only access route to the building, a long straight staircase, leads. The design focuses on expressing Penelope's experience and symbolism.
