fluidity

A design for a retention basin inspired by the emotions I experience in the landscape of my heart. When I walk through the landscape of my heart, I feel nostalgia and enchantment and how everything is ephemeral and changing, how the seasons change the character of the landscape but always return in the same spirit. Like a dragon eating its own tail. The reservoir feels like time has stopped. My design embodies what it's like to walk through my landscape. The cracked concrete covering the surface of the reservoir fights for dominance with the encroaching moss, hiding the dragon loops that wrap around the tree trunks. Small depressions on the dragon's back filled with rainwater reflect the surrounding world and, like the concrete mosaic in the surrounding forest, create a sense of unreality.
