GALLERY ANWA

Annotation

The Andy Warhol Gallery (ANWA) creates a space that is based on repeating of the same or similar elements and contexts. The interior is made up of only three room sizes that repeat independently on each other, much like Warhol's serial reproductions of iconic subjects. The interior is set into a solid rectangular shape that acts as the border of a work of art – almost like the canvas on which Warhol created. It contrasts with the exterior of the gallery, which deceives the visitor with its apparent simplicity and adds a certain sense of surprise upon entering the building.
