Gallery Lemonade Joe

Lemonade Joe or Horse Opera is a 1964 Czechoslovak film. The film is specific mainly due to the variety of colour filters and the overall illumination of the individual scenes. As a result, the film is actually in black and white, but by giving the individual scenes a different colouring, it is meant to give us a better idea of the atmosphere of the story and the location, thus adding to the overall impression of the film. My concept for the design of the exhibition space follows the idea of the variety of colour filters, which change as the atmosphere of each scene changes. I have incorporated this variability into the design in the form of dynamic alternation of natural light and shadows. The heights of the separate rooms of the gallery and the use of glass surfaces change.
