DROP

A spatial composition on the theme of ROTATION with an emphasis on dynamics and multiple perspectives. In this assignment we learned how to dial in plaster, which was very beneficial for most of us who had no experience with this material. After creating rotating shapes out of plaster using the stencil technique of dialing, we cut through the mass, shifting, rotating or omitting to assemble the dialed objects into spatial installations. I created my spatial rotational composition by cutting a drop shape and then shifting the two pieces created by the cut.
