House for Pénelope

Eliska Krobová

Annotation

The house is inspired by the Greek myth of Odysseus. It is designed for Odysseus' wife Penelope, who has been waiting for him for 10 long years. My main effort was to open views of the sea so that Penelope could look out for Odysseus. The house consists of two buildings. One symbolizes a lighthouse, and its shape is shaped by a staircase that winds around the tower. The second object is spacious and bright, so that Penelope does not feel cramped in it. Between the buildings we find an atrium with the symbol of the olive tree and a wide staircase.
