Gallery de Lune

Marie Krejcarová

Annotation

They say music opens the heart. Gallery de Lune was inspired by the French composer Claude Debussy, one of the founders of Impressionism in music, and his work Clair de Lune. The visitor is strictly guided the whole time through a cascading sequence of floors turned in a spiral, which guides through the story of this composition. On each floor, there is a play between exhibition objects and changes in light, where we always experience an unique or fleeting feeling, symbolic of Impressionism. The exhibition floors revolves around the inner part, which is dominated by the piano, which connects the entire piece together when the music is heard.
